Staten Island Advance. After receiving the green light from the state of New Jersey, the Avenel Performing Arts Center is gearing up for its first official show to hit the stage since March. Executive and Artistic Director Anthony J. Wilkinson, a Staten Island native who wrote the show, will open the venue with one of his Off-Broadway hit productions, which previously played to sold out audiences for three years at Snapple Theater. The show is being co-directed by Sonia Blangiardo.

Continuing to study and hone his craft, Michael worked on the main stage, as well as with multiple student-led theatre companies on campus. By the time he graduated, Michael had also worked with companies outside of the college, with reviewers noting his performances contained, "admirable smoothness and sincerity.
